Lead System Safety Engineer at A-P-T Research

Corey Shultz has a diverse work experience beginning in 2011 with the Brazos County Precinct 3 Volunteer Fire Department as a Volunteer Firefighter/EMT. In 2011, they also joined the Texas Army National Guard as a Military Police Officer 31B. In 2016, they began working for Rural/Metro Corporation as an Aircraft Rescue Firefighter and for Acadian Ambulance as an Emergency Medical Technician. In 2017, they joined the United States Army Reserve as a UH-60 (Blackhawk) Repairer 15T and the EMSA- Emergency Medical Services Authority as a Regional Medical Response System Coordinator. In 2019, they started working for GoEngineer as an Applications Engineer. In 2020, they began working for Axiom Space as a Systems Safety Manager/Vehicle Safety Engineer. Currently, they are employed at APT (A-P-T Research, Inc.) as a Lead System Safety/Crew Certification Engineer.

Corey Shultz is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Systems & Engineering Management at Texas Tech University, which is expected to be completed in 2024. Prior to this, they obtained a Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering from Texas Tech University. Corey also holds a Master of Public Administration in Disaster & Emergency Management from Sam Houston State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Alabama and a Bachelor of Applied Arts & Sciences in Fire & Emergency Services Administration from Texas A&M University-San Antonio. Additionally, they have an Associate of Applied Science in Fire Science Technology from Blinn College. Corey also holds various certifications from Dassault Systèmes, SolidProfessor, and the United States Department of Defense.
