Optical AIT Engineer at OHB SE

Franz-Ferdinand Wieser is an accomplished Optical AIT Engineer at OHB SE since March 2023, specializing in the assembly, integration, and testing of optical (sub-)systems for space applications. Concurrently, Franz-Ferdinand is a Doctoral Student at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light, focusing on the development of ultra-high resolution optical microscopy since October 2017. Previous experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from October 2018 to March 2021, where responsibilities encompassed Atomic and Molecular Physics, Bio-Imaging, and Bio-Physics, as well as an Undergraduate Research Assistant role at Universität Wien from 2015 to 2017 concentrating on opto-mechanics with silicon nanoparticles, and a Research Assistant Internship at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck in July 2015, which involved research on ultracold atoms and quantum gases.
