Johannes D. Plumhof

Johannes D. Plumhof is an experienced systems engineer with a focus on Focal Plane Systems at OHB SE since May 2017, where responsibilities include defining and specifying detectors for space applications and coordinating development and testing activities across various technical aspects. Prior to this role, Johannes served as an Optical AIT Engineer, developing alignment and test concepts for optical instruments. At Finisar Corporation, Johannes held the positions of Senior Optical Design Engineer and Development Engineer, contributing to the development and testing of coherent optical systems for the telecommunications market. Johannes’s academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at IBM Research, specializing in nonlinear optical materials, and a PhD from the Leibniz Institute for Solid State and Materials Research, focusing on semiconductor hetero-structures. Johannes earned a Diplom-Physiker degree in Physics from the University of Bonn.
