Mathias Rohrbeck

Project Chief Engineer For Esprit-rm Umaxt at OHB SE

Mathias Rohrbeck has extensive work experience in the aerospace industry. Mathias is currently working at OHB SE as the Project Chief Engineer for the ESPRIT-RM UMAXT project, where they are responsible for the implementation phase of the UMAXT Submodule. Mathias is also co-leading the Concurrent Engineering Facility at OHB, where they oversee concurrent engineering sessions and the development of the facility and software knowledge management.

Prior to their current roles, Mathias has worked at OHB SE as a Project Manager, Lead System Engineer, and System Engineer. Mathias has also worked as an Intern and completed their Diploma Thesis at OHB SE. Additionally, they gained experience as an Intern at the European Space Agency, where they focused on technology coordination in the Earth observation and telecommunication domain.

Before entering the industry, Mathias worked as a Student Assistant at the Technical University of Braunschweig.Overall, Mathias has a diverse range of experience in project management, engineering, and technology coordination in the aerospace industry.

Mathias Rohrbeck attended the Emil-Possehl-Schule in Lübeck from 2003 to 2006, where they pursued Civil Engineering and obtained their Abitur degree. Mathias then went on to enroll at the Technische Universität Braunschweig from 2006 to 2012, specializing in Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik, Aeronautik und Astronautik, and completing their studies with a Diplom-Ingenieur degree. In addition to these academic qualifications, Mathias Rohrbeck acquired a Project Management Certification - Level B from the IPMA: International Project Management Association in June 2022.
