Geoff Smith has extensive experience in recruitment and human capital management, currently serving as an HCM Analyst at the Auditor of State - Ohio since June 2013, where responsibilities include recruiting entry-level accountants across all 88 counties in Ohio. Prior to this role, Geoff worked as an HCM Analyst/Recruiter for the Ohio House of Representatives from January 2001 to January 2007, and also served as a former State Representative. Geoff obtained a degree from The Ohio State University between 1987 and 1991.
Ohio Auditor of State
Under the direction of Auditor Keith Faber, the Auditor of State's office is responsible for auditing and providing financial services to all public offices in Ohio. This encompasses more than 5,800 entities including cities, counties, villages, townships, schools, state universities and public libraries as well as all state agencies, boards and commissions. The office also provides financial services to local governments, investigates and prevents fraud in public agencies and promotes transparency in government. The office is divided among eight regions, including a state region.
