David Koren

David Koren is the current Executive Director at Ohio Cable Telecommunications Association. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Government Affairs at Columbia Gas of Ohio from February 2012 to October 2020. In this role, they were responsible for the development and implementation of the company's government affairs strategy, which included advocating for business needs before the Ohio General Assembly and state executive agencies, as well as supporting the company's political action committee.

During their time at Columbia Gas of Ohio, Koren successfully lobbied for the enactment of legislation that addressed company business needs, and they also reviewed proposed legislation to determine its impact on company operations. In addition, they directed the efforts of the company's political consultants and developed yearly strategic plans for the NiSource Political Action Committee fund.

Koren has a deep understanding of the external regulatory and political environment, and they provide guidance on these issues to their colleagues and clients. David is a skilled negotiator and has a proven track record of successful advocacy on behalf of their company.

David Koren studied Business Economics and Business Pre-Law as an undergraduate at Ohio University, before going on to complete a Masters of Financial Economics at the same institution.

David Koren reports to Gary Underwood, President. They are on a team with Rick Mlcek - Treasurer, Nick Celona - Manager, Business & Client Support Services, and Jim D'Innocenzo - Secretary.
