Max Barton is the Director of Ohio Citizens for the Arts. Max has over 18 years of experience in corporate communications and strategic planning. Prior to their current position, they were the Director of Corporate Communications & Strategic Planning at Myers Industries for 18 years, where they directed corporate communications, public relations, and marketing communications for the company's 16 brands in four business segments throughout North America. Max has also been a corporate spokesperson and media manager in all public relations efforts, and has developed long-term strategic operating plans with Executive Officers and business unit teams. Max has also crafted executive presentations and speeches for multiple audiences, and planned and implemented social media policies, activities, and initiatives throughout the Company.
Max Barton has a MA in Arts Administration from The University of Akron, a BA in Political Science, Theology, Art Max'story from Bellarmine University, and a Semester Exchange in Theology/Theological Studies from Georgetown University. Max is currently enrolled at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
