Ginine M. Trim

Ginine M. Trim serves as Assistant Director of the Ohio Department of Youth Services, overseeing the Reentry, Parole, Facility Support, and Professional Standards divisions.

Ginine joined DYS in 2013 and has served in several leadership roles since then, most recently as Deputy Director of the Division of Professional Standards and Chief Inspector from 2017 through December 2021. In those roles, she focused on making substantial improvements in operations through long-term, sustainable change in agency policies and procedures.

Nationally, Ginine has presented on juvenile justice reform for the American Correctional Association (ACA). She has been interviewed by NBC Nightly News, Essence, National Geographic, The Grio and is a published author. Ginine was named the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction’s Warden of the Year in 2012. She is a certified Prosci change management practitioner.

Ginine served the country in the United States Army Reserves and holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Ohio Dominican University.
