Katie Stierwalt is an accomplished operations professional with extensive experience in environmental organizations. Currently serving as Operations Director at the Ohio Environmental Council since January 2019, Katie oversees internal operations, implements policies, and manages office logistics. Previous roles include Executive Assistant and Administrative Assistant at the same organization, where responsibilities entailed supporting leadership and managing communications. At the National Audubon Society, Katie managed finances and building operations, and coordinated logistics for significant volunteer efforts at Green Columbus. Additional experiences include environmental education with the Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks, water quality analysis with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, research in aquatic ecology at Ohio State University, and a notable research project on harmful algal blooms. Katie holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from The Ohio State University.
