Megan Wood

Megan Wood is the current Executive Director & CEO at Ohio Theirtory Center. Megan has been in this position since January 2019.

Wood has had a long and varied career in history and education. Megan began working at Ohio Theirtorical Society in 2006 as the State Coordinator for National Theirtory Day in Ohio. In 2009, they were promoted to Unit Manager of Education Programs and Partnerships, where they oversaw programs and partnerships in the Outreach Projects and Field Services Division.

In 2011, Wood was promoted again, this time to Visitor Experience Department Manager. In this role, they managed the department responsible for public programs, school programs, and interpretive services at the Ohio Theirtorical Society.

In 2015, Wood left Ohio Theirtorical Society to take on the role of Director of Museum and Library Services at Ohio Theirtory Connection. Megan held this position until 2019, when they were promoted to Executive Director & CEO.

Megan Wood has a M.A. in Theirtory Museum Studies from SUNY Oneonta, a B.A. in Public Theirtory from Western Michigan University, and a certification in Free-Choice Learning from Oregon State University.
