Andy Sturgess-White has a diverse work experience, with their most recent position being the Senior Director of Health Economics & Policy at The Ohio Hospital Association. In this role, they are responsible for analyzing programs that impact hospital finances, creating finance-related dashboards for top-level executives, and staffing strategic policy committees. Prior to this, Andy was the Deputy Director of Operational Excellence at the Ohio Attorney General's Office. Andy also served as a Policy Analysis Administrator at the Ohio Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services, where they coordinated the repositioning of the state hospital system and advocated for improved mental health treatment in the municipal court system. In addition, Andy worked as a Budget/Management Analyst at the Ohio Office of Budget and Management, advising the Governor's Office on human services programs and leading efforts to improve the budget development process.

From 2005 to 2009, Andy attended The College of Wooster where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science.
In 2008, they undertook a Scottish Parliament Internship at The University of Edinburgh.
Andy then pursued further education at The Ohio State University. From 2010 to 2012, they studied at the Fisher College of Business and graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.
Continuing their education at The Ohio State University, Andy attended the John Glenn College of Public Affairs from 2011 to 2013 and obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree.
In addition to their formal education, Andy obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the Ohio Department of Administrative Services in September 2018.
