Amy Milam is an experienced legal professional currently serving as Rural & General Practice Counsel at the Ohio State Bar Association since October 2024. Prior to this role, Amy worked at AARP as the Associate State Director for Outreach & Advocacy from October 2022 to September 2024, where advocacy strategies were developed for public policy issues. From July 2014 to September 2022, Amy held the position of Director of Legal Education & Member Engagement at the Ohio Farm Bureau, providing legal education on property rights and agricultural law while advocating for member interests. Earlier, Amy was an Associate Attorney at Williams & Strohm, LLC from August 2008 to June 2014, focusing on contract review and representing corporate clients in municipal court trials. Amy Milam holds a Doctor of Law (JD) degree from Capital University Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Communication from Ohio University.

The Ohio State Bar Association, founded in 1880, is a voluntary professional association open to any person who has been admitted to the practice of law. Law school students, paralegal students, and paralegals and legal administrators are eligible for membership in the OSBA as associate members. The OSBA represents more than 25,000 Ohio lawyers and judges, nearly 68 percent of Ohio law practitioners. Total membership is about 30,000, which includes associate members.
