Francois Joubert has a diverse and extensive work experience in the energy industry. francois started their career in 1993 as a Senior Energy Economist at EDF Strategy Division, where they contributed to defining the company's strategy in relation to European energy policy. In 1997, they became the China Financial Manager at EDF, responsible for project finance, mergers and acquisitions, and financial control. During their tenure, they successfully closed the acquisitions of the first assets of EDF in China and played a crucial role in the expansion of the company in the area.

Moving forward, Francois joined EDFT in 2000 as the Executive Vice-President and Head of Corporate Development. francois recruited and managed a team of 15 originators, covering major power and gas markets in Europe. francois originated, structured, and closed transactions in power and gas, delivering over €500 million of value from 2000 to 2008. In 2015, Francois became the CEO of NextEarth, and in 2018, they took on the role of Directeur General at Ohm Energie, a new generation energy supplier. Francois Joubert holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Finance from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which they obtained in 1993. Prior to that, in 1992 to 1993, they completed another MSc program in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics at ENSAE Paris. francois'sundergraduate education includes a degree in Engineering with a specialization in finance, which they earned from École Polytechnique between 1988 and 1991.
