Carlos Aydos

Carlos Aydos has a strong background in artificial intelligence and traffic systems development. Carlos worked as the Director of Artificial Intelligence at Ohmio, where they delivered an embedded data fusion and perception system for autonomous vehicles. Prior to that, they were an Artificial Intelligence Engineer at Ohmio. Carlos also worked at Roads and Maritime Services, where they held roles such as System Development Manager and Principal Systems Analyst. Carlos started their career as a PhD student at NICTA and previously worked as a Traffic Systems Development and Modelling Engineer at Roads and Maritime Services. Carlos also has experience as an Embedded Software and Controls Systems Development Team Leader at Schaeffler/LuK.

Carlos Aydos holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Intelligent Transportation Systems, Statistical data fusion, and online microsimulation, which they obtained from UNSW from 2006 to 2012. Prior to that, they pursued a Masters degree in Computer Science from UNSW between 2002 and 2006. Their education journey began at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, where they completed a MSc/ME in Mechanical Engineering from 1992 to 1997.
