Phil Bourne

Phil Bourne has a diverse work experience in the financial services industry, spanning over several decades. Phil currently serves as the Head of Product (UK & Ireland) at Ohpen since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Sopra Banking Software from 2016 to 2020 as the Head of Mortgage Propositions, focusing on driving digital initiatives in the UK mortgage sector. Phil also worked as a Strategy Consultant in Mortgage and Retail Banking at an undisclosed company in 2016.

From 2011 to 2015, Phil was the Practice Director: Mortgages and Consumer Lending at HCL Technologies, where they focused on expanding services and revenue in the retail banking and mortgages sector. Before that, they worked as a Freelance Consultant from 2008 to 2010, undertaking strategic assignments in the mortgage and retail banking BPO sector.

Earlier in their career, Phil worked as a Principal Consultant / Transformation Manager at IBM Global Services from 2002 to 2008. Phil led various change management and transformation programs in the financial services industry. Phil also served as a Managing Consultant at PwC from 1996 to 2002, working on consulting and major change implementation programs for prominent financial services clients.

Phil's work experience also includes roles at Santander UK as the Head of Process and Systems in 1994, at PwC as a Consultant / Senior Consultant from 1986 to 1994, and at Arcadia Group Ltd as a Resource Management Analyst from 1986 to 1988.

Phil Bourne attended the University of Nottingham from 1977 to 1980, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry.
