Tunya Heeres

Tunya Heeres is a skilled data engineer with a comprehensive background in data science and risk modeling. Currently employed at Ohpen as a Data Engineer since May 2024, Tunya has previously held senior roles at Valcon and served as a Risk Modeller for ABN AMRO Bank N.V., where Tunya concentrated on translating outdated credit risk models to Python. Early experience includes data science work at Objective Partners, where Tunya applied predictive modeling to aid clients in data-driven decision making, as well as a graduate internship at Parfumado, developing a churn rate prediction tool. Tunya earned a Master's degree in Econometrics: Data Science & Business Analytics from the University of Amsterdam, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Econometrics and Operations Research from the same institution and additional studies at The City University of New York.
