Currently serving as the Senior Nursing Director for Perioperative and Cardiovascular Service Lines at Hillsboro Medical Center since August 2019, Maria has also held multiple senior director roles within the organization. Previous experience includes significant positions at Kaiser Permanente and Tuality Healthcare, where responsibilities encompassed critical care management and administrative oversight. Maria's academic credentials are notable, with an MBA and a Master's degree in Nursing Leadership from Grand Canyon University, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Linfield University and a background in electronic engineering. This diverse educational foundation supports effective leadership in complex healthcare environments.

Hillsboro Medical Center, an OHSU partner, has always been committed to our community. It's a part of how we care for each other, and part of what makes this place different. We had a humble start in 1918 when an enterprising woman named Minnie Jones Coy started a small six-bed hospital in her Hillsboro home. She brought together independent physicians under one roof to treat the sick and provide a safe place for mothers to give birth. A century after Minnie made her commitment to the people of Hillsboro, her vision continues as we provide world-class health care to patients. We've changed our name to OHSU Health Hillsboro Medical Center to reflect our growth in speciality care, medical education and research.
