OIC of South Florida
Founded in 1964 by the Late Reverend Dr. Leon Howard Sullivan, Opportunities Industrialization Centers of America, Inc. (OICA) is a national non-profit network of employment and training programs bound together by a common commitment, to help the disadvantaged realize their true potential. OIC of South Florida (OIC-SFL) is a community-based workforce development, education and training organization that prepares our youth and adult participants to lead responsible & productive lives with holistic high-quality and comprehensive life skills development, fundamental education, superior skills-based training and employment readiness services. We assist our clients and students with overcoming the barriers they face at some of the most crucial transition points in their lives: young adults facing important crossroads, and adults challenged by unemployment, re-employment, underemployment and/or release from incarceration. Participants learn leadership & coping skills, earn relevant vocational credentials and also learn how to be capable, reliable and self-sufficient employees with strong work ethics. Since 2001, OIC of South Florida has placed over 6,000 community residents into high-demand occupations and serves over 4,500 youth annually. Our goal is to give everyone the opportunity to realize their full potential. For more information, visit WWW.OICSFL.ORG
