Max Richards

Max Richards is an experienced professional in business development and energy transition, currently serving as the Chair of the Net Zero Committee and a committee member for the SPE London Section since January 2022. In parallel, Max holds the position of Group Business Development Manager at OPC where responsibilities include managing global business development, sales, and marketing strategy. Previous roles at OPC include International Business Manager and Staff Consultant - Energy Transition, focusing on carbon capture and storage, greenhouse gas inventorying, hydrogen, and ESG strategy development while also overseeing training programs for business development. Max contributes to PESGB Young Professionals as a committee member and has gained additional experience through internships in business development and environmental consulting. Max holds an MSci in Environmental Geoscience from UCL, earned in 2020.
