Vidyadhar Kamath has a wealth of experience in the field of petroleum engineering. From 2013 to present, they have been the Head Petroleum Engineering at Oilmax Energy Pvt Ltd. Prior to this, they were the Vice President at Reliance Industries Ltd from 2002-2013. Before that, they were a Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Alaska Fairbanks from 1984-2002, where they taught over 23 undergraduate and graduate petroleum engineering courses and conducted research in areas such as gas hydrates, thermal recovery of heavy oils and tar sands, steam-assisted gravity drainage process, use of horizontal wells for EOR, phase behaviour modelling, CO2 and HC miscible processes, fluid property correlations and fluid characterization, role of heterogeneity in EOR process performance, reservoir characterization, asphaltene and wax deposition, natural gas utilization, gas conversion to liquid fuels, and coal gasification using plasma induced processes.

Vidyadhar Kamath's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh from 1982 to 1983, a Master of Science (MS) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh from 1980 to 1982, a Master of Science - MS in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh from 1980 to 1982, and a B.CHEM in Chemical Engineering from the INSTITUTE OF CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY from 1976 to 1980.
