Graeme Sutherland

Senior Mechanical Project Engineer at Oji Fibre Solutions

Graeme Sutherland began their work experience in 1984 as an Air Systems Engineer at NZFP, where they redesigned dryer steam and condensate systems for improved machine performance. Graeme also updated air heater systems to SS coil heaters and improved condensate handling. In 1991, they concluded their role at NZFP. In 1994, they joined Oji Fibre Solutions as a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer, eventually upgrading to an engineering role with greater responsibilities. The company underwent a name change from Carter Holt Harvey to Oji Fibre Solutions in 2015.

Graeme Sutherland obtained their high school education from Rathkeale College, Masterton, from 1967 to 1971. During this time, they completed their High School Leavers Certificate and B Bursary, focusing on General Science and Advanced Mathematics. Following their high school education, from 1972 to 1982, Graeme attended the University of Canterbury, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Graeme successfully completed their BE (Bachelor of Engineering) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Canterbury.
