Kelly Scott Unger

Kelly Scott Unger serves as General Counsel and Director of Compliance at Happy Egg since September 2020. Previously, from 2015 to September 2020, Kelly held various roles at Simmons Foods, focusing on Government Relations, Regulatory, and Trade Affairs, where responsibilities included supervising a regulatory team and leading critical certifications for international exports. Prior experience includes working as Outreach and External Affairs at The Sustainability Consortium, where project implementation and stakeholder collaboration were key, and as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney at the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney's Office, handling over 1,000 criminal cases. Kelly’s legal training began at Bassett Law Firm as a Law Clerk, specializing in agricultural law and contract formation. Educational qualifications include an LLM in Agriculture and Food Law and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law, complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Education and Communications.
