Alex Peter Tausem is an experienced professional in the field of training and safety management, currently serving as the Mine OHS & Training Superintendent at Ok Tedi Mining Limited since December 2018. With a strong background in process safety management and statutory training, Alex has effectively led teams of training professionals across multiple organizations, including Ramu NiCo Management and Newcrest Mining. Alex's expertise includes utilizing learning management systems and content authoring tools to design tailored training programs, developing training packages, and delivering competency-based training in mechanical technology and occupational health and safety. Alex holds a Bachelor's degree in Technical Education and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Don Bosco Technological Institute.
