Rafat Taher

Rafat Taher has worked in various roles in the healthcare sector since 2010. Rafat was an Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Critical Care Department at the College of Medicine of King Saud University from 2010 to 2013. Rafat then served as an Advisor at the Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia from 2013 to 2014. Following this, they were the Executive Director for Development and Implementation at Interhealth Canada from 2014 to 2016. Rafat then became Chairman of Critical Care and General Surgery consultant at the Specialized Medical Center Hospital from 2016 to 2017. In 2017, they were appointed Managing Director of Healthcare and Life Sciences at the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA). From 2019 to 2020, they held the position of CEO Saudi Arabia at VPS Healthcare. During this time, they were also Chairman at PVR Saudi Arabia. In 2020, they became Chief Executive Officer of Ezdihar Medical Company (One Healthcare Group). Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Chief Executive Officer at Okadoc.

Rafat Taher completed a Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine Residency Program at the University of Alberta from 2006 to 2008. Rafat also completed a FRCSC in General Surgery Residency Program at the University of Alberta from 2001 to 2006.
