Ingrid Meek - Ph.D.

Ingrid Meek, PhD, MAusIMM CP(Env), serves as the Principal Technical Lead for Rehabilitation and Reclamation at Okane Consultants since May 2025. With extensive experience in mine rehabilitation and closure, previous roles include Lead Major Hazards Assurance and Reporting at Rio Tinto and Principal Consultant in Environment and Closure as an Independent Consultant. Ingrid has a strong background in environmental management, having worked in various capacities at Rio Tinto, including Specialist Ecosystem Reconstruction and Environmental Projects Specialist, and has contributed to the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources as a Board Member of the Technical Review Board. Ingrid's academic credentials include a PhD in Restoration Ecology and a Bachelor's degree in Plant Physiology from The Australian National University, complemented by a Diploma of Management.
