Abhinaya Gopalam

Abhinaya Gopalam has a diverse work experience spanning several years. Abhinaya is currently working at OkCredit as an Engineering Manager, where they have been leading the Data Engineering team since January 2021 and previously served as the Principal Engineer/Manager. In this role, they have been responsible for the Head of Infrastructure Team and was in charge of the Data Engineering team.

Prior to their current position, Abhinaya worked at Recko, Inc. as a Manager & Senior Engineer from June 2018 to October 2019. Here, they played a key role in building an automation platform that processes over $1 billion worth of transactions annually. Abhinaya was also responsible for the Architecture Design and Development of India's only real-time financial data reconciliation product and designed a system capable of processing over 10 million transactional data in an hour.

Before joining Recko, Abhinaya worked at Reliance Jio Money as a Manager/Research and Development Engineer from March 2016 to June 2018. Abhinaya played a major role in the design, development, and implementation of India's largest upcoming all-digital bank, Jio Payments Bank. The bank aimed to provide end-to-end banking services through smartphones.

Abhinaya's earlier experience includes working at Oracle Financial Services Software as an Applications Developer from July 2012 to March 2016. During their time there, they developed the architecture for a next-generation product handling liquidity for Tier-One Banks and focused on design paradigms that factor extensibility. Abhinaya also worked as an Intern at Oracle in 2011, where they designed and developed UI screens using internal proprietary tools and performed end-to-end performance testing using various internal testing tools.

Abhinaya began their career as a Summer Intern in Software Development at Madras Medical Mission in 2010.

Overall, Abhinaya Gopalam has a strong background in engineering management, data engineering, financial systems development, and UI/UX design, with a proven track record of delivering successful projects in various organizations.

Abhinaya Gopalam completed their high school education from Ongole Public School between 1994 and 2006. After that, they attended the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, from 2008 to 2012, where they pursued a M.Sc Tech degree in Information Systems.
