Jesper Kresten Nielsen

Jesper Kresten Nielsen is a seasoned professional in geology and exploration, currently serving as Lead Explorationist at OKEA ASA since September 2022. With extensive experience as an advisor and external examiner at various universities since 2002, Jesper has contributed to fields such as petroleum prospecting, sedimentology, and basin modeling. Prior roles include positions as Geological Advisor at Geoprovider and Senior Explorationist at MOL Norge AS, where responsibilities encompassed evaluations of hydrocarbon potential, prospect generation, and well planning in the North Sea. Jesper's academic background includes a PhD and MSc in Geology from the University of Copenhagen, complemented by significant research roles in various geological institutes.
