Salah Kanaan

Salah Kanaan is a seasoned nuclear safety professional with extensive experience in various roles within the nuclear industry. As the WANO Operating Experience Manager since August 2023, Salah oversees the Trends & Performance Monitoring team, analyzing global nuclear performance data and providing governance to regional centers. Previously, as a Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer at OKG AB from October 2019, Salah led the Configuration Management Program and supported long-term safety operations. Salah's experience includes a tenure as a Reviewer at WANO Paris Centre, a Nuclear Safety Engineer at OKG, and participation in E.ON's Leadership Talent Program. Early career roles included work at Ringhals AB and a previous business venture as the Owner and Manager of Babilos Ltd. Salah holds a Master of Science in Electro-mechanical Engineering from Odessa National Polytechnic University and a postgraduate degree in Nuclear Power Techniques from KTH Royal Institute of Technology.
