Takanari Ichikawa

Takanari Ichikawa is a seasoned professional in the field of plant science and biotechnology, currently serving as the Senior Manager of the Technology Development and Innovation Center at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University (OIST) since April 2016. Prior to this role, Takanari held various managerial positions at OIST related to business development, technology licensing, and scientific management from April 2010 to March 2016. Takanari co-founded Inplanta Innovations Inc., where the focus was on biotechnology using plant science. Academic contributions include an associate professorship at the University of Tsukuba, emphasizing translational research, and a senior research scientist role at RIKEN, specializing in plant functional genomics. Education credentials include a PhD in Plant Physiology and several other advanced degrees from the University of Tokyo, as well as business planning training from KSP Venture Business School.
