Karen Laing

Karen Laing is a seasoned professional in maternal health, serving as Co-Founder and CEO of Okkanti since June 2022, where expertise in personalized care has been utilized to develop an innovative operating system aimed at enhancing maternal health outcomes. Since founding Birthways Labor Support and Postpartum Doulas in May 1997, Karen has led the largest and oldest labor support and postpartum doula service in the United States, focusing on empowering families during pregnancy and parenting. Additional roles include Founder of WisdomWay Institute, which offers training and certification programs for mindful caregiving, and providing diverse support to expectant and new families through various initiatives.
