Simon Osborne

Simon Osborne has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 2004, they worked as a researcher at Cardiff University for a brief period. In 2005, they joined Tyndall National Institute as a researcher and remained there until 2013. In 2014, they transitioned to Verisk Maplecroft as a software developer, and later moved to Zenstores in 2016 as a software developer. Simon then joined YellowDog in 2019 as a senior Python developer before moving to Breedr as a Python engineer and eventually becoming the Head of Platform. Currently, they work at OKKO Health as the Technology Lead since March 2023.

Simon Osborne has a strong education history in the field of physics. Simon completed their PhD in Physics at Cardiff University / Prifysgol Caerdydd from 1999 to 2004. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's degree in Laser Devices and Optoelectronics from the University of St Andrews from 1998 to 1999. Simon also pursued their undergraduate studies at The University of Manchester, where they obtained a degree in Physics from 1995 to 1998. In addition to their physics background, Simon has also pursued a Higher National Diploma in Cloud Computing at Munster Technological University in 2013.
