Mark Brandenburg, MD, MSc has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Mark is currently serving as the Associate Medical Director at the Oklahoma Health Care Authority. In addition, they hold the position of Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.

In their earlier career, Dr. Brandenburg worked as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Saint Francis Health System. At the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, they held the positions of Founding Director of the Oklahoma Institute for Disaster and Emergency Medicine and Founding Program Director. During their tenure, they served as the Medical Director of the Hurricane Katrina evacuee center in Oklahoma, successfully managing the healthcare needs of thousands of displaced individuals.

Mark Brandenburg, MD, MSc obtained a Medical Degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine from 1988 to 1992. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Biology at West Virginia University from 1984 to 1988. In 1993, they finished an Internship in Internal Medicine and then proceeded to complete a Residency Program in Emergency Medicine at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine from 1993 to 1997. In 2013, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Epidemiology at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London, which they completed in 2018.
