Joel Kendall

Joel Kendall currently serves as the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education since July 2025. Previously, Joel held various academic leadership roles at Southwestern from September 1998 to July 2025, including Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, Associate Provost, Professor, and Chair of the Department of Art, Communication & Theatre. Joel earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from the University of Oklahoma, a Master’s Degree from Indiana University Bloomington, and a Bachelor of Arts from Oklahoma State University.
