Jason F. Kirksey is the current Vice President for Institutional Diversity at [Oklahoma State University](/org/oklahoma-state-university). Jason has held this position since July of 2016. Prior to that, they served as the Assistant Vice President for Equity and Diversity at the [University of Cincinnati](/org/university-of-cincinnati).

Chad Weiberg is the current Vice President of Athletic Programs and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at [Oklahoma State University](/org/oklahoma-state-university). Chad has held this position since May of 2017. Prior to their current role, Weiberg served as the Deputy Director of Athletics at [Texas Tech University](/org/texas-tech-university) from June 2015 to May 2017. Chad also spent seven years at [Kansas State University](/org/kansas-state-university), first as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Development from June 2008 to June 2015 and then as the Assistant Athletics Director for Development from January 2005 to December 2008. Weiberg began their career in athletics development at [Kansas State University](/org/kansas-state-university) Foundation in January 2004 as the Director of Corporate Relations before moving to the [Oklahoma State University](/org/oklahoma-state-university) Foundation in January 2003 as the Director of Development for Athletics. In January 1999, they became the Director of Field Operations for the [Oklahoma State University](/org/oklahoma-state-university) Alumni Association and then served as the Assistant Director of Development for [Oklahoma State University](/org/oklahoma-state-university) Athletics Department from January 1995 to December 1999.

Prior to this, they were the Director of Corporate Finance at Texas Industries Inc. from November 1996 to February 2005, where they were responsible for the banking, investment banking and rating agency relationships, as well as overseeing credit and developing and monitoring the company’s financial strategy. Additional activities included mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, leasing, financial reporting, cash flow analyses, forecasting and modeling. 

Highlights from their time at Texas Industries Inc. include leading spin-off divestiture and integration teams, and raising $2 billion in capital that included bank financing, public & private placement debt, equity offerings, tax-exempt debt and asset securitization. Cary also directed investor relations which encompassed setting analyst expectations, creating road show presentations, and presenting to the investment community. Lastly, they facilitated the process of strategic divestiture of several business assets including a $42 million manufacturing operation.

Before their time at Texas Industries Inc., Cary Baetz was a Corporate Banking - Relationship Manager at [Wells Fargo](/org/wells-fargo) from August 1993 to November 1996.

Richard Frohock is the current interim dean of the Honors College at [Oklahoma State University](/org/oklahoma-state-university). Richard has served in this role since July 1, 2020. On April 2, 2021, the OSU/A&M Board of Regents selected Dr. Kayse Shrum as the 19th president of [Oklahoma State University](/org/oklahoma-state-university). President Shrum is a native Oklahoman. She earned her doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and has completed executive leadership and management training programs at [Harvard University](/org/harvard) and [Stanford University](/org/stanford). In 2013, Dr. Shrum was named president of OSU Center for Health Sciences (OSU-CHS), becoming the youngest and first female president and dean of a medical school in the state of Oklahoma. She joined the OSU-CHS medical school faculty in 2002. In 2011, she was named provost of OSU-CHS and dean of the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine and served in that capacity until her promotion to president in 2013. President Shrum holds the George Kaiser Family Foundation Chair in Medical Excellence and Service and the Saint Francis Health System Endowed Chair of Pediatrics. In March 2019, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt appointed her to his Cabinet as Secretary of Science and Innovation. During her time in the Cabinet, she led Oklahoma’s rapid response in COVID-19 testing expansion across the state and advised state leadership on COVID medical and protocol guidance.

Under her leadership, OSU-CHS has experienced unprecedented growth. Student enrollment has more than doubled as new academic programs have been established to meet the healthcare workforce needs of Oklahoma. She also spearheaded the construction of the A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Medical Academic Building, a state-of-the-art learning facility that houses Oklahoma’s largest and most technologically advanced hospital simulation center. A strong supporter of collaborative partnerships, Dr. Shrum worked with [Cherokee Nation](/org/cherokee-nation) Principal Chief Bill John Baker and his administration to establish the nation’s first tribally affiliated medical school, the OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine at the [Cherokee Nation](/org/cherokee-nation), which opened in fall 2020. Most recently, President Shrum helped secure a landmark investment from Purdue Pharma in the amount of $197.5 million to create a center of excellence in addiction treatment and studies to address the opioid addiction epidemic in Oklahoma — the National Center for Wellness and Recovery.

During her tenure, she has made addressing the health care workforce shortage in rural Oklahoma a top priority for OSU-CHS. A fervent champion of rural health and primary care medicine, President Shrum led the strategic efforts to create a sustainable rural primary care physician pipeline program. President Shrum launched award-winning high school recruiting programs like Operation Orange and Blue Coat to White Coat, established the Rural Medical Track curriculum, and expanded the number of residency training programs in rural Oklahoma by securing support from the Oklahoma Legislature, Oklahoma Health Care Authority and Oklahoma Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust.

President Shrum is active in a variety of charitable and professional organizations. She is a board member of the Children’s Hospital Foundation at Saint Francis, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma, State Chamber of Oklahoma, PLICO, Oklahoma Hall of Fame, Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence, [Oklahoma State University](/org/oklahoma-state-university) Medical Authority and Trust, Texas A&M Center for Optimizing Rural Health, and Women for OSU Council. She holds committee positions in osteopathic professional organizations including the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicines, American Osteopathic Association, and American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics.
