Yahya Anvar

Yahya Anvar has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Yahya is currently working at OKRA.ai as the Chief of AI Science and Insights since June 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Data Science for OKRA.ai from August 2019 to June 2023. Yahya also worked as the Chief of AI Science and Insights at Envision Pharma Group starting from June 2023.

Before joining OKRA.ai and Envision Pharma Group, Yahya worked at Leiden University Medical Center. Yahya held the position of Senior Scientist from December 2015 to August 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Scientific Researcher from May 2011 to November 2015 and as a Scientific Researcher from November 2008 to May 2011 at Leiden University Medical Center.

Yahya's earlier work experience includes roles at BookCity Online Store, where they served as a System Manager and Web Administrator from 2000 to 2002, and at Negah Multimedia Co, where they worked as a Project Monitoring and Consultancy professional in 2000.

Yahya Anvar completed their Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology at Eastern Mediterranean University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics at Brunel University London from 2006 to 2007. Continuing their academic journey, they obtained a PhD in Bioinformatics at Leiden University Medical Center, where they studied from 2008 to 2011.
