Dimitris Stafidas has a diverse work experience in the field of software engineering. Dimitris began their career as an ICT Intern at UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, from September 2019 to February 2020. Dimitris then joined Accenture Greece as an Application Development Associate, where they worked from March 2020 to December 2021. Dimitris later joined SYNTAX IT Group™ as a Software Engineer in January 2022, and subsequently moved on to OKTO in October 2022, where they currently hold the role of Software Engineer.
Dimitris Stafidas began their education in 2011 at the Computer Engineering and Informatics Department of the University of Patras, where they obtained a Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Computer Science in 2019. In terms of additional certifications, Dimitris obtained several certifications in 2020 from Skillsoft, including CCSP 2019: Application Development & Security, CISSP: Risk Management, and Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) 2019 in various areas such as Core Concepts, Secure Coding Practices, Secure Design Principles, and Threat Modeling. Dimitris also obtained certifications related to OWASP, such as A10 and A9: API and Component Attacks, A4 and A2: Broken Applications, A5 and A1: Security and Injection, A7 and A6: Leaky and Unprepared Applications, A8 and A3: Cross-Site Attacks, as well as OWASP Overview and OWASP Top 10 List Items certifications. Additionally, Dimitris obtained Defensive Programming certifications in Java from Skillsoft in the areas of Data Handling and Concurrency, Data Security and Access Control, and Fundamentals in 2020.
