Derek Corcoran

Derek Corcoran is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the payments industry, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer for OKX in Ireland and as a member of the inaugural Mastercard Strive EU Small Business Council. Previously, Derek held the role of COO and Head of Payment Operations and Partnerships for Square in Europe, where leadership included managing regulatory accountability and strategic initiatives while overseeing partnerships with key payment providers. Derek's career at Mastercard spanned several roles, including Director of Acquiring and Acceptance for the UK and Ireland, where responsibilities involved managing key accounts and cross-functional collaborations to optimize acceptance and compliance. Derek's earlier experience at AIB included significant project management and business process optimization roles, establishing a solid foundation in the financial services sector. Derek earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin.
