John Costanzo

John Costanzo serves as the Chief Administrative Officer at Old Dominion University since June 2013, where responsibility includes managing the southeastern Virginia node of the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative and overseeing significant NSF and GO Virginia grants focused on cybersecurity education and workforce development. Previously, John held various leadership roles within the US Army for over 26 years, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel and excelling in training, operations, and human resources management. Education includes a Master of Business Administration from Averett Online and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Old Dominion University, along with certifications in Project Management. John is recognized for exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and performance improvement initiatives across both academic and military settings.
