Kara Boone

Kara Boone currently serves as the Assistant Director for Service Learning and First Year Student Success Advisor and Instructor at Old Dominion University, with a tenure starting in July 2016. Previously, Kara held the positions of Instructor and Residence Hall Director. From September 2017 to January 2023, Kara worked as the Social Media and Marketing Manager at Somnium CrossFit. Earlier experience includes roles as Graduate Resident Director and Campus Recreation Employee at Slippery Rock University, where Kara completed a Master’s Degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education (2014-2016) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching - English (2010-2014).
