Matthew Hamaker

Matthew Hamaker currently serves as the Assistant Director of Prospect Management and Research at Old Dominion University since August 2022. Between August 2015 and August 2022, Matthew contributed to Virginia Beach City Public Schools as a Social Studies Teacher, specializing in World History and Economics/Personal Finance, and also taught summer courses in VA/US History with a successful student pass rate. Matthew's teaching career includes various roles at different schools, demonstrating versatility and effective classroom management. Additionally, Matthew has experience as a Property Manager at Camp HOPE for Kids, Inc., overseeing camp operations and volunteer coordination. An earlier role as a Prospect Research Analyst at Old Dominion University involved innovative research to support fundraising efforts.
