Michel Audette is an accomplished academic and researcher in the field of biomedical engineering, currently serving as the Graduate Program Director for Biomedical Engineering and Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Old Dominion University since July 2011. Audette's research focuses on interactive medical simulation, particularly in neuro- and orthopedic surgery simulation, model-based surgical guidance, and surgical device development. Previous experience includes roles as a research engineer at Kitware, a researcher at the Innovation Center Computer Assisted Surgery, and a post-doctoral researcher at AIST, among others. Audette holds a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from McGill University and a M.Eng. in Computer Vision from Polytechnique Montréal.
