Ruth Akpalu

Ruth Akpalu is a Computer Engineering student at Old Dominion University, expected to graduate in May 2026. Currently, Ruth works as a Computer Engineer Intern at Northrop Grumman and serves as a Supplemental Instructor and Tutor, leading college algebra recitations. Ruth has gained practical experience through a variety of internships, including a cybersecurity consulting role with the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative, involvement with the U.S. Secret Service, and participation in the Jefferson Lab Quark Quest mini semester organized by the U.S. Department of Energy, where Ruth engaged in professional development and lab tours. Ruth's academic background includes an Honors High School Diploma from Stafford Senior High School.
