Mike Chaplee

Mike Chaplee has over 20 years of work experience in the financial industry. Mike currently works at Old Mission as a Senior Developer and Head of Bonds Tech, where they are responsible for developing trading systems and ensuring European compliance. Prior to this, Mike worked at BNP Paribas as a Consultant FX Trading Strategist, where they re-engineered equities algos for the bank's automated FX market making business. Mike also worked at Hudson River Trading as a Senior Developer and at UBS as the Head of APAC Automated Statistical Trading, where they managed both trading and technological aspects of the desk's Asia Pacific business. Mike's earlier work experience includes roles at Deutsche Bank as an Exchange Connectivity Architect and at UCL as a Research Assistant in the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Mike Chaplee completed their A Levels in Double Maths, Chemistry, and French at Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle de Londres from 1982 to 1996. Mike then pursued a MEng in Chemical Engineering with Research Abroad at UCL from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they attended École nationale supérieure d'Ingénieurs en Arts Chimiques Et Technologiques (ENSIACET) from 1999 to 2000, where they obtained a Research Masters in Chemical Engineering. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in trading and finance, including being a C++ Certified Programmer from the C++ Institute in September 2015 and a Licensed Trader from SIX Swiss Exchange Ltd in September 2014.
