Jaco Langner

Jaco Langner is an independent non-executive director at Old Mutual. Jaco has previously worked as head of business development at Explore Data Science Academy, and as a non-executive director at the South African Actuaries Development Programme.

Langner has extensive experience in consulting and strategy development. At Explore Data Science Academy, they were responsible for introducing the company's data science and machine learning short courses to corporate companies in Gauteng. At the South African Actuaries Development Programme, they served on the board, audit and remuneration committee as an independent non-executive director.

Langner is committed to unearthing and harnessing mathematical and analytical skills amongst black students of South African origin. Jaco believes that by providing comprehensive bursary support and life skills training, these students will be able to capitalise on career opportunities in the field of actuarial science.

Jaco Langner is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Jaco has a B Com in Actuarial Science from Stellenbosch University.
