Rich Anderson Cgeit

Rich Anderson has extensive work experience in information security and technology, starting as a Private Investigator, Training Officer, & Senior Field Supervisor at Fairfax Security in 1989. Over the years, they moved up to roles such as Product Support Specialist at America Online, Senior Systems Engineer at Feld Entertainment, and IT Operations Manager & Information Security Officer at ATCC. Their most recent role is Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer at Old Point National Bank. Rich has also served in advisory roles, including as an Advisory Board Member at the Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + Security Science.

Rich Anderson attended Xaverian High School from 1976 to 1980 and Good Shepherd from 1972 to 1976. Rich later pursued further education at SANS from 1998 to 2006. Additionally, Rich obtained certifications in various areas, including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) from ISACA in 2008 and 2009, respectively, along with other certifications in subsequent years.
