Karen Haffner

Karen Haffner has extensive work experience in the insurance and finance industry. Karen started their career as an Accountant at United Wisconsin Insurance Company in 1982 and later became a Supervisor of Accounting at United Wisconsin Insurance Company (Cobalt/Blue Cross Blue Shield WI) from 1983 to 1996. Karen then served as the Manager of Accounting at United Wisconsin Insurance Company (Wellpoint/Cobalt) from 1997 to 2005. Karen worked as a Controller at United Heartland from 2006 to 2010 before joining Northwestern Mutual as a Contractor from March 2011 to August 2011. Karen then moved to QBE the Americas, where they held the positions of Finance Technical Lead from August 2011 to April 2012, and subsequently AVP, Senior Accounting & Reporting Manager from May 2012 to October 2013. Karen is currently working at Old Republic Surety Company, where they started as the Vice President - Accounting/Controller from October 2013 to September 2019, and is currently serving as the Senior Vice President - Finance/CFO from September 2019 to present.

Karen Haffner attended the Lubar College of Business from 1977 to 1982. Karen obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Accounting.
