Brian Sterwald

Brian Sterwald, CPA, has a diverse work experience in various accounting roles. Brian is currently working at Old Second National Bank as a VP Assistant Controller since June 2022. Prior to this, Brian worked at Crowe Horwath LLP for 12 years, starting as a Staff Accountant in January 2010 and progressing to Senior Manager in August 2019. At Crowe Horwath LLP, they held various roles, including Manager - Financial Institutions - Audit and Senior Staff Accountant. Before that, Brian gained experience as a Staff Internal Audit Associate (Intern) at Yellow Roadway Corporation (YRC) from May 2007 to October 2009. Brian started their career as a Prepress Specialist at Scan Group and worked there from 1990 to 2005.

Brian Sterwald, CPA obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they attended New Berlin Eisenhower High School from 1986 to 1989. In addition to their educational background, Brian Sterwald also earned a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the State of Illinois in September 2010.
