David Neilson

David Neilson has a diverse work experience in the banking and financial industry. David started their career as an Analyst at Merrill Lynch in 1991 and then joined Republic Realty Mortgage Corp as a Financial Analyst in 1993. In 1995, they joined The PrivateBank as a Managing Director and held that position until 2007. David then served as the Chief Lending Officer at Strategic Capital Bank from 2007 to 2009, and as the President at Starting Point Advisors from 2009 to 2010. David then moved to Talmer Bank and Trust in 2011 as a Managing Director and Senior Vice President in the Commercial Real Estate department until 2016. Currently, they are the Group President of Commercial Real Estate at Old Second National Bank, a position they have held since October 2016.

David Neilson obtained a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale from 1987 to 1991. David then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Accounting and Entrepreneurship at Northwestern University from 2002 to 2005.
