Derek Major

Derek Major's work experience includes various roles in the banking and finance industry. Derek started their career in 2008 as a Caddy at Ruth Lake Country Club Inc. In 2014, they worked as a Kitchen Team Member at Chick-fil-A Restaurants and also served as a Musician for Drake University Bulldog Brass. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Front Desk Secretary at Drake University Residence Halls. In 2016, they worked as a Bank Teller at West Bank. From 2017 to 2017, they interned at Gremler Financial Group as a Finance Intern. Derek then joined Central Bank in 2018 as a Commercial Credit Analyst. From 2020 to 2023, they worked at Inland Bank and Trust, first as a Credit Analyst and then as a Senior Credit Analyst. Currently, they are employed at Old Second National Bank as a Commercial Underwriter II, since April 2023.

Derek Major pursued their education at Drake University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a joint major in Accounting and Finance in the period from 2013 to 2017. Derek furthered their studies at the same institution and completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree between 2016 and 2017.
