John Gorzak

Vice President at Old Second Bank

John Gorzak has a strong background in the banking industry. John started their career at Old Kent Bank in 1990 and worked as an Officer until 1998. From there, they joined National City Bank as a VP, where they focused on middle market commercial lending. In 2002, they transitioned to Fifth Third Bank, working as a Vice President until 2005. John then joined First Midwest Bank as a Vice President, holding that role for eight years from 2005 to 2013.

In 2013, Gorzak moved to Cole Taylor Bank, where they served as a Senior Vice President for a year before relocating to MB Financial Bank in 2014. At MB Financial Bank, they were appointed as Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking until 2015. Afterward, they joined Old Second National Bank as a Vice President in 2015, where they are currently working.

In addition to their banking experience, Gorzak was involved in community service as a Board Member for United Way of Dupage/West Cook in 2014. John provided support to United Way leadership, engaged donors, and contributed to fundraising efforts. Furthermore, they were an active member of the Exchange Club of Naperville from 2006 to 2010, where they focused on sponsorship sales and logistics for the club's events.

John Gorzak attended Schaumburg High School from 1980 to 1983. John then pursued higher education at Northern Illinois University from 1987 to 1989, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Management.
